📂Case Summary:

Danielle Bell was last seen September 2001 at a party on the 500 block of Cedar Tree Lane and Highway 95A in Cantonment, Florida

Witnesses who attended that party with Danielle would tell investigators that they last saw Danielle leave the party with a man who was in his mid-20s at the time.

It wouldn’t be until six years later in 2007 that Alfredo Gomez Sanchez Junior would be charged with providing law enforcement with false statements about his whereabouts the day and time of Danielle’s disappearance.

Alfredo is currently serving time for lewd and lascivious acts against a minor and one of those charges is for Danielle Bell specifically however they have been able to charge him in her disappearance. 

💜Why Bonnie needs your help:

Bonnie has been patiently working with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department in her sister Danielle Bell‘s case hoping to get the best resolution for her sister. Bonnie met with the Escambia county sheriffs department early this spring and there was an understanding that they would have some plan or decision moving forward in Danielle’s case by the summers end. However the timeline on that has come and gone with no plan of action moving forward and little to no contact from law-enforcement regarding Bonnie’s requests for updates or a transfer of her sisters case to another agency.

Petition for transparency and resolution in the disappearance of Danielle Bell

Lieutenant Beech,

We the undersigned are writing to urge the Escambia County sheriff’s department to provide transparency and clear update regarding the investigation into the disappearance of Daniel Bell.

It has been 23 years since Danielle went missing and her family, friends, and community remain without answers, despite repeated efforts of her sister Bonnie to obtain information or have the case turned over to state agencies for further investigation. Communication has been ceased, leaving those affected in a state of uncertainty and distress.

Well, we understand that these investigations are complex. It has been more than two decades and we believe Danielle, Bonnie, and the community deserve the opportunity for closure, accountability, and justice.

The continued blatant disregard for transparency, communication, and empathy is unacceptable and only deepens the pain caused by this tragedy. 

We firmly request at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department:

* Reestablish consistent open communication with Bonnie excluding information sensitive to the investigation.

* Provide any available updates on the status of the case.

* Seek help from the state and or other external agencies that have The needed resources to solve Danielle’s case, pursue further leads and review potential evidence with fresh eyes.

We are prepared to do whatever is needed to escalate this further and Garner national media attention to highlight the negligence and disregard by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department.
